This item falls under PPE category of European Standards & is CE certified.
Main function is to make the Respiratory system in human body safe from dusty and hazardous environment. It has Powered Air supply system, wherein one will not inhale the air in environment, which could be injurious to health. There is hood to protect from dust entering from neck side and there is face sealing to maintain air supply from power source. There is whistle warning system for cautioning against low air supply.
Being used for removal of old paint, grime and rust etc with sandblasting, grit blasting method on ships, bridges, old pipelines, mining etc.
All the material used in the equipment has been tested at CE Lab in Denmark. Components consist of Nylon coated with Rubber on both sides for hood in 0.4 - 0.6 mm and for Face shell same material but thickness of 1.5mm, There is a strong head hardness and eyes are protected by a safety glass plus Polycarbonate disc.
The blasting hood SM-1 is specially developed and approved (EN 271) for blasting. The main components of the equipment are:
Hood with adjustment bands, outlet valves and protective glass
Air Control Valve with quick couplings, belt and hose assembly to hood with warning whistle. |
